In a Reddit post called “Affordabletraveler,” some people shared it in places they thought were the most overrated places they'd been to, the Daily Mail reports.
Surprisingly, many of these destinations are often seen as places people choose for their dream trips. One place on the list is Monaco, known for its luxurious lifestyle and expensive prices.
Those with the account name “PUCE_MOMENT” say Monaco is “too expensive” and “CG12983” describes the country as “a friendly and mean place.”
Another place on the list is the Maldives, known for their beautiful beaches and luxurious island vibes.
“Xycergy” states: “The beach villas and untouched beaches were amazing, but frankly there are many other similar places that you can go to Southeast Asia or the Pacific Islands countries.
Other locations listed include Dubai, a popular tourist destination offering an exciting culture and one of the kind experiences for travelers.
The main complaint of Dubai was that it looked too expensive and “empty”. But the list goes on, others say that Las Vegas was a shame.
One said: “I went three times over 40 years. It's never been a place of scams again.”
Dublin, Switzerland and Costa Rica are also listed, which are often praised for their beautiful scenery and vibrant atmosphere, but tourists say they were not impressed.
