The four-day event, which began Thursday, will be held at the old Elkan airport in the capital Lefcosa under the auspices of the TRNC presidency, and will feature a packed schedule of competitions, air shows, exhibitions and workshops.
Over 47,000 people from 22 countries participated in this year's tournament, with 268 teams and 1,083 finalists taking part in the final round. Of the finalists, 334 are women and 749 are male.
The competition is in six major categories and 13 subcategories, highlighting innovation in aerospace, robotics, software and other cutting-edge fields.
As with every year, Teknofest TRNC also has many promotional and event stands.
Second International Tenofest
There are a total of 116 stands, including 81 stakeholder stands, 11 sponsor stands, 4 participating business/institution stands, and 20 food court participants.
During the festival, Bairaktal Akinki, Bairaktal TB2, Harcus, Anchor, Axungle, Gender Mary Steel Wings, Attack Helicopter, Turkish Star, Solo Turku and many other vehicles will fly.
Hosted by the Turkish Technology Team (T3) Foundation and the Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology, Teknofest has been held annually since 2018 with the support of dozens of government agencies, private sector partners and universities.
The event has traditionally been held in various Turkey cities in even years, and in Istanbul in some strange years, but TRNC has become the second international host in 2022, after Azerbaijan, which welcomed the technofest.
In 2024, the event in Adana, southern Türkiye, attracted around 1.1 million visitors.
