The summer holiday season is mostly here, and if you have an exciting trip booked, you're probably already thinking about clothes. However, if you need a lot of options and you tend to stop packing, trying to fit everything can be a real struggle.
This becomes even more difficult if you only have small suitcases as part of your baggage allowance. It can save you money, but it's a nightmare to try and stuff it all in, especially if you're packing at the last minute. However, according to social media lifestyle influencers, there are very simple techniques that fit into all the clothes you need on the holidays.
Chantel Mila, also known as @mama_mila_ on Tiktok, is not someone who doesn't know about sharing her life hacks online. With her next base for over 1.6 million people, her cleaning and lifestyle tips are easy to do at home.
And as the summer holiday season approaches, she recently shared a video focused on the best ways to cram suitcases for travel, ensuring that she can ensure everything is safe even with small bags.
One of these tips wasn't easy to do. And it will quickly create much more space for your holiday clothes, shoes and accessories.
Instead of placing the suitcase flat on the ground and placing the items as typically stuffing items, Chantelle suggested instead to stand upright and pack it vertically in the row.
You can then compress what you need to fit all the items and fold them as flat as possible.
This not only helps maximize space, but also allows you to see everything about your case more clearly.
And if you're worried about a musty smell on arrival, Chantelle has some great tips. Once all your clothes are packed vertically in the case, grab a few cotton wool balls and your favorite essential oils and smack a few drops.
Next, place the cotton wool in a small bag or pouch and place it in your clothes. This will keep them smelling fresh while they're stuffed. This might really be useful if you're about to go on a long distance flight.
In the comments, people immediately expressed their appreciation for Chantelle's hints. One said: “I'm going home from college in three days, this was the perfect time.”
Another wrote: “Essential oils never happened to me.
