ITB Berlin, which will be held from March 4th to 6th this year, focuses on transformation under the theme of “The power of transition lives here.” Key topics important for the African tourism industry include sustainability, digitalization and workforce development. ITB Transition Labs and ITB Travel & Tourism Report provide insight into tourism trends, while responsible tourism exhibitions and technology-driven solutions showcase the innovations that shape the industry. With increasing demand for travel in Africa, ITB Berlin 2025 provides a platform to strengthen global partnerships in the continental tourism sector, attract investment and promote sustainable growth.

There is a record number of international exhibitors from 165 countries. Africa has a strong presence at ITB Berlin 2025, reflecting the growing excellence in the region's global tourism. South Africa and Mauritius are one of the largest exhibitors, but countries such as Namibia, Madagascar, Ethiopia and Mozambique are expanding their stands. Uganda, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Tanzania will showcase larger displays, while Djibouti will make its ITB debut, highlighting the diversity of African travel products. The Indian Ocean islands, including the Maldives and Comoros, are also well represented, enhancing the region's appeal for nature, adventure and luxury tourism.
