South African Airlines CFS Aviation Group has ended its 12-year partnership with Comair after Parrott Aviation, a holding company of Federal Airlines (FEDAIR), acquired a 50% stake.
Justin Reeves, co-founder and CEO of CFS, has acquired the remaining shares from other minority shareholders.
The strategic decision marks Comair Flight Services Name's retirement and is updating the CFS Aviation Group brand, which reflects a fully independent, integrated business aviation group, the company said.
“This marks an exciting new chapter in the CFS Journey,” Reeves said. “The new structure strengthens our long-term vision, strengthens our shareholder base and preserves operational independence. Clients can expect the same exceptional service, safety and professionalism they have come to know with new energy and focus.”
Parrot Aviation brings a “ownership structure that is consistent with change,” says the company, which includes majority Black ownership and representatives by black women. CFS and Fedair now share ordinary shareholders, but the companies remain “completely independent,” the statement said.
“The new structure helps us sharpen our focus and keep us doing our best, providing the ultimate aviation experience,” added Reeves.
Headquartered in Lanseria International Airport, CFS Aviation Group offers a range of services including aircraft management, charter, sales, and FBO.
