The South African Ministry of Interior has extended visa concessions for certain foreigners until September 30, 2025 due to continued delays in processing applications.
Key Points:
As BAL reported, the concessions had previously been extended until March 31st. The extension applies to visa holders with pending exemption applications, long-term visa applications, and visa appeals. Foreigners can continue to reside in South Africa during this period and, if they have the necessary documents, they can leave and re-enter the country without being declared undesired. Non-exempt applicants traveling abroad with receipts/confirmations of exemption application receipts, long-term visa application receipts, or appeal application forms are required to apply for an entry visa to re-enter South Africa.
