The Seychelles Tourism Authority recognized 42 tourism providers for their environmental efforts at the first sustainable Seychelles accreditation and recognition ceremony of 2025, held at the Eden Blue Hotel on April 3rd. Part of the Sustainable Seychelles brand, the initiative highlights businesses that integrate long-term sustainability into their businesses, with all new recipients being certified at the silver level.
The event also introduced the program's highest praise, the Sustainable Seychelles Platinum Award. Six additional properties have been reauthenticated, reaffirming their continued commitment to environmental best practices. Supported by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, the Sustainable Seychelles program is open to accommodation providers, tour operators and restaurants, forming an important pillar in the island's strategy to promote a more responsible tourism sector.
