Settebello, a popular Italian restaurant surrounded by the heart of Bedfordview in Johannesburg, is proud to reveal its reimagined Lasiccia experience. It is built on the success of the acclaimed “Kan Diem” experience of 2023, celebrating Italian exceptional meat dishes.
The concept of Lasiccia came from the vision of Pino di Benedetto and Milo Marquez, owners of Settebello. Their passion for traditional Italian cuisine and their desire to share lesser known aspects of Italian culinary traditions have inspired them to create a unique, upscale experience that proves that Italian cuisine goes far beyond pizza and pasta.
The experience of Rasiccia's “Seven Northern Italian Stops” will dine on a gastronomic adventure that will showcase the diversity of Northern Italian cuisine. Like the iconic Settebello train running through Italy, the diner at the “Seven Northern Italy Stops” experience embarks on an exquisite, heartfelt culinary culinary journey paired with carefully selected wines. This experience includes brand new works such as Vitero Tonato, Trophy Al Plague Genovese, potatoes and green beans, Ossobuco with Risotto ala Milanese and beloved classics like Brodo Tortellini and the mighty Fiorentina.
La Ciccia Experience features a unique family-style seating arrangement. Designed to bring guests together, the diners of around 50 share a communal table where food, sides and wine are served with delicious spreads. This arrangement not only enhances the dining experience, but also reflects the spirit of traditional Italian family gatherings, bringing together the unity, warmth and sharing fun that is essential to the Settebello experience.
“Settebello has always believed that Italian cuisine goes far beyond pizza and pasta. At “Seven Northern Italy Stops,” we celebrate the finest traditions of Northern Italian cuisine. In particular, heartfelt cuisine brings comfort and warmth.” “Our new format shows innovative flavors that reflect our passion for fine dining, while retaining the appeal of the original La Ciccia experience.”
Co-owner Ramilo (Milo) Marquez said, “'7 Stops of Northern Italy” is our passion project. We are excited to bring it to South Africa by celebrating Italy's rich culinary heritage. We are dedicated to sharing an exceptional Italian flavour with our guests. It's closer. ”
