For the third consecutive year, Ian Chadwick (an independent UK-based audit and safety expert) completed a comprehensive flight and ground audit of the operations of Serengeti Balloon Safaris at the end of June 2025.
Ian has been a balloon inspector at the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) for over 20 years, so few people are more reliable than he when it comes to testing hot air balloon operations.
The audit did not reveal any major findings, and in Ian's opinion, Serengeti Balloon Safaris is one of the most compliant balloon operators in the world, operating a safety management system that airlines are proud of.
