Lufthansa Group has appointed Kevin Markete as Senior Director of Regional Sales. He oversees commercial activities in the South Asian region. This includes the Indian market.

Kevin has been with the Lufthansa Group for over 20 years. Having worked on multiple continents, he brings over 20 years of experience to his new role. He managed commercials, customers and operations teams in the US, the Middle East and Africa. Markete is extremely passionate about his work and is a senior director of regional sales, serving as strategic and leadership roles within the Lufthansa group. Part of his responsibility will include driving commercial success and market expansion across the South Asian region. This is especially true in India, one of Lufthansa's most important markets.

About Kevin Market
Kevin grew up in Spain and South Africa. He trained as a commercial pilot and began his career at Lufthansa in 2000. After joining Lufthansa in South Africa, he eventually managed South African pricing, bookings and tickets. He later moved to Dubai in 2008, where he began a new role in marketing and business development in the Gulf countries. He played a leading role in his new career, later becoming country manager in Ghana, and took charge of Lufthansa's business in Accra.
He served as sales director for Atlanta's Southeast US. Markete was responsible for six gateways run by four airlines in Lufthansa Group. This took place from 2016 to 2020. Following his sales leadership role, Marketette has moved to America's Customer Relations Head in New York. His roles included managing customer feedback strategies, service recovery and commercial insights across South America in 2022. after that, He is the Chief General Manager of East Africa. He later served as general manager of East Africa and led commercial strategies and partnerships in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda.
