Truro It is the southernmost city on the southern tip of Cornwall. It's only a 10-minute drive from the coast. The city has a rich history and dates back to Roman times. In the 12th century, it was a small market town and port, but became a major hub for trade and tin mining.

In the heart of the city is the Gothic Revival Cathedral, known for his grandfather Willis Organ, with stained glass windows restored. They also have a choir featured at Got Talent in the UK in 2019. Truro is also home to the Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery, a popular attraction during peak season. Here you can learn everything about Cornwall's mining and engineering heritage and explore their extensive mineral collections. The museum features the home of the Courtney Library, dedicated to studying and preserving Cornish life and culture, and an art gallery focusing on Cornish artists.

Truro has a bustling city centre focused on independent stores, charming cafes and local restaurants.

In the heart of the city, there are regular high street stores, but the city tramples branches into small, winding lanes such as Pidal Street. There you can explore craft boutiques and more colorful shops.

The Truro River runs through the city and reaches the outskirts of Truro, where you will find plenty of beautiful natural trails. IwalkCornwall has a lot to do on the trail, including walking the river.

The St. Clement and Malpas routes take you to a walking trail along the Truro River. You can see views of medieval churches along the way.

The city hosts many cultural festivals throughout the year, from the Cornwall Music Festival in March to the Trulo Food Festival in September, to the appearance of many live music and art events.

Recently, the family-owned fish and chip shop in the city's Three Milleston area won third place in the UK's National Fish and Chip Awards, attracting the public's attention.

At a ceremony held in London on February 26th, Kellaway's fish and chips in Threemilestone, Truro, hosted by the National Fish Fleet Federation (NFFF), was awarded third place in this year's takeaway.

Kellaway proudly announced it on Facebook.

Commenting on their victory, the NFFF posted: “Good job to the third-place winner of Takeway, Takeway, Keraway!”

Andrew Crook, chairman of the National Federation of National Fish Freelya, praises the industry's rising standards. “The National Fish and Chip Awards bar is set high every year to recognize competitors and new title holders enhance the menu, hone their skills and develop expertise.”
