As divers from around the world prepare to celebrate Paddy Women's Diving Day on July 19th, Seas4Life Ocean Safaris identifies a variety of ideal locations with exceptional diving experiences designed to inspire and empower divers and marine enthusiasts to pursue their adventures, and bring together marine enthusiasts. Seas4Life was founded by the women's pioneer Julie Church and curates custom itineraries designed to suit all traveller requirements, ensuring that everyone has equal access to ocean adventures.
Famous for its commitment to marine conservation, comprehensive adventures and an unforgettable Marine encounter, Seas4Life invites divers of all experience levels to take part in three of the most breathtaking underwater safaris of the Indian and Red Sea: Pemba Island, the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia and the southern coast of Kenya.
Celebrating women on a dive
Padi Women's Dive Day is more than an annual event. It is a global movement that advocates diversity, inclusion and environmental management. Seas4Life is dedicated to fostering a supportive diving culture where women can explore, learn and guide. Its curated itinerary offers a great opportunity for women to connect with the ocean and each other.
Pemba Island
Known to veteran divers, Pemba is the most explored hidden gem, using private yachts and hand-selected properties that provide the best conditions for sunburn days and diving, free diving, and snorkeling. The crew on board, captains, teams and Seas4Life hosts take divers to hidden places with vision, with vision rising from 20 to 30 meters. This is a view of Pemba's beautiful coral gardens, dramatic walls and clear views of the cluttered marine life.
Great Coral Reefs: Currently protected through the local marine conservation group Pekka, the underwater world of Pemba, is known for its subtle diversity, with coral mosaics, fantastic mangrove forests, reef fish schools, amazing groups and occasional coral reef sharks.
A variety of diving sites: From gentle shallow waters perfect for beginners to exhilarating walls and drift dives, Pemba handles all skill levels.
Humpback Whale Encounter: July-September is when these mild giants witness the audacity of humpback whales passing through the Zanzibar seas.
Conservation Focus: Seas4Life integrates marine learning and conservation into any diving, allowing female divers to become marine ambassadors.
Underwater wonders of Saudi Arabia: The untouched Red Sea
The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia is hardly explained by popular tourism, but it is fascinated as one of the world's wonderful, dynamic and resilient marine ecosystems. The best way to explore these areas is to use Seas4Life Dive Trive curated according to the group's needs. You can spend more time on these diverse bodies of water with at least three dives a day.
Women-led Expedition: The female dive leaders of Sain4Life create their itineraries with the aim of empowering travelers in this little-known but unique part of the world and creating an adventurous dive environment
Magnificent Coral Reefs: From vibrant Antia to elusive Moray eels, you'll jump into several untouched coral layers filled with life.
Big animal encounters: hammerhead, tiger and silky shark, group, barracuda, manta, dolphin.
Night Diving: These will occasionally see Malay eels hunting with the help of Margar, an array of sardines with torchlights, bioluminescence, and dances of Spanish dancers.
Ideal Conditions: The calm ocean and excellent visibility make your dive relaxed, safe, deeply immersive.
Southern Kenya Coast: Sea turtles and macro diversity
In the underwater world of Kenya's southern coast, it is more well known for its beaches. Visibility is between 7m and 25m, and there's always something interesting. It is one of more than 1,000 identified green or Hawksville that foraged sea turtles, crocodile snake eels, thorny seahorse, or occasionally whale sharks or humpback whales on their northward movement. Seas4Life curates dive trips from Tiwi to Kisight & Mpunguti Marine Park and Reserve along this beautiful coastline, bringing marine life of all sizes to life.
What is waiting for you?
Sea Turtle: Thanks to sea turtle monitoring by the Kenya Olive Ridley Project, divers can witness up to 25 sea turtle sightings in a double dive one morning.
Ocean diversity from most to small: from humpback whales. Bottlenor dolphins in the Indo-Pacific are either underwater or surface spacing. You can find two or three frog fish, as well as up to 70 species of nudibrance.
Action Conservation: Through partnerships with organizations such as Lee Forcing, Kenya Marine Mammal Research and Conservation, Oliveridley Project Kenya, Diani Turtle Watch, and Tiwi Turtle, you can participate in practical conservation from diving, coral nest sharing, marine mammal nest sharing, marine mammal protection, sea build monitoring, photo ID monitoring, and more.
WREK Diving: One of Seas4Life's best diving spots is My Funguo, known for its incredible marine life that built the 23-year-old Treck Home in his home. The species sighted include marine black chip sharks, barracudas, snappers, treasures, rays, frog fish, bat fish, angel fish, butterfly fish, and garden eels. This shipwreck has brought great diversity to life. It is always a medical treatment to visit.
