Kingdee, a Chinese software as a service (SAAS) company that serves more than 7.4 million customers worldwide, has opened its regional headquarters in Qatar with the aim of expanding its footprint in the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Commenting on the launch ceremony held in Qatar on Tuesday, Kingdee Chairman and CEO Robert XU said: “Today is a pivotal moment with Kingdee's global expansion plan. Kingday plans to leverage Qatar as a bridge bed to expand its footprint in markets in the Middle East and North Africa, promoting digital transformation for local businesses and Qatar's digital transformation.

“We are confident in our ability to provide professional enterprise digital solutions to Qatar and the regional market,” Xu added.

The move is believed to have been driven through support from Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Qatar's sovereign wealth fund. We will invest in Qatar, an investment promotion agency, and Qatar Free Zone Bureau (QFZ).

Founded in 1993, Kingdee is listed on the main board in Hong Kong as the solution is used in 172 countries and regions around the world. Kingdee Saas Solutions supports 42 languages and provides services to over 1,000 customers to achieve digital operations overseas.

In December 2023, Kingdee and Qia announced an agreement in which Qia invested approximately $200 million in Kingdee.

“We are pleased to announce that we are committed to providing a range of services and services to providing services that will help us to ensure that we are committed to providing services that will help us to ensure that we are committed to providing services that will help us to implement our services,” said Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, CEO of QIA. “Qia has been a Kingdee investor since 2023 and recognizes the company's expertise in corporate digitalization and cloud services in China. We are confident that Kingdee will be successfully expanding and bring valuable products to the Middle Eastern market.

“We are delighted to welcome Kingdi to Qatar. The establishment of their regional headquarters in Qatar marks a key milestone in our ongoing efforts to attract leading global technology companies to our region.”

“We look forward to working closely with Kingdee, QIA and QFZ in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the third national development strategy.

Commenting on the strategic move, QFZ CEO Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Hamad bin Faisal al Thani said: – The final wave of Qatar National Vision 2030. ”

“By integrating Kingdee's expertise into the technology ecosystem, we will enhance Qatar's role as a gateway for next-generation solutions to accelerate digital transformation and drive economic diversification and sustainable growth,” he added.

He said QFZ will provide Kingdee with a strategic platform to strengthen regional presence, foster impactful collaboration and contribute to the evolution of enterprise digitalization.

By leveraging industry expertise and the management model of leading Chinese companies, Xu emphasized that Kingdee can provide end-to-end digital solutions to local companies in the market participating in Belt and Road Initiatives with comprehensive financial management, supply chain optimization and production operations.

“The establishment of Kingdi Qatar represents a strategic milestone in King's Day's commitment to providing localized services to global clients from Qatar's free zone,” he said.

“Trusted by the principle of 'thinking globally and operating locally', the company synergizes local business insights with technical strengths and integrates AI-driven digital technology and management expertise to provide a comprehensive one-stop solution,” Xu said.

He further said the move will accelerate the development of the Middle East software and internet industry through technological empowerment.
