Passengers say they are “stuck” at Rhodes Airport and are facing “complete silence” from Ryanair following an overnight delay. Travelers shared images of people lying on the airport floor and complained that they were not being provided with drinking water, despite other airlines reportedly providing accommodation due to the confusion.
One passenger told the Express he was unable to attend the airline following the overnight delay, and the fears began to rise further on the postponement. They said: “The trip to Ryanair in Rhodes. The flights were delayed overnight and now there are rumours that people will not fly until tomorrow. Other airlines were confused, but accommodation and other items were offered.
Another passenger, Josh Bronlin, shared the image that passengers had spread to the airport floor lying on top of their luggage while waiting for information.
Written in French, he states in X:
X's post claimed that the strong winds were causing disruptions in Rhodes' calls and outbound flights.
According to the Helenic National Weather Service (HNMS), a Greek weather agency, the weather system moving northeast from Tunisian coast, was expected to cause “weather deterioration” from Thursday evening until early Saturday.
We predicted “locally torrential rains and thunderstorms, along with extremely strong winds in the west, central and northern Greece, and eastern and southern Greece.”
Rhodes is located in the southeastern Aegean Sea in southeastern Greece, sitting northeast of Crete and southeast of Athens, near the Turkish coast.
Express contacted Ryanair for comment.
