The Russian carrier Red Wings introduced a second Ilisin IL-96-400T cargo ship into the fleet of Skygate, the operator of its subsidiary.
The Aircraft – RA-96101 – will be taking part in another type (RA-96103) taken by Sky Gates in late 2023 shortly after Red Wings acquired the freight airline.
Sky Gates also uses a single Ilisin IL-76TD.
“The cargo fleet is planned to continue to expand in the future with domestically produced aircraft,” Red Wings said.
The IL-96-400T, the telescopic cargo version of the IL-96 passenger jet, has a payload capability of 92T and a range of 2,700Nm at this weight.
Red Wings has a core fleet of 22 Yakovlev Superjets 100, offering a network of around 100 destinations from Moscow and Yekaterinberg bases.
