The Radisson Hotel Group continues to solidify its leadership in the hospitality environment in Africa, with W Hospitality Group's 2024 “From Pipeline to Reality” top rankings documenting the report to achieve the most hotel openings across the continent within a year. Based on this momentum in the first quarter of 2025, the Radisson Hotel Group announced its market entry into the Democratic Republic of Congo with the signatures of two landmarks, further strengthening its presence in Central Africa with the signatures of the Radisson Blu Hotel and apartments in Cameroon.
Over the past 15 months, 11 hotel signatures and seven openings have been held in total over 2,000 signatures and 1,000 openings through 1,500 rooms, 1,000 rooms and conversions, and the group has strengthened its position as a leading hotel company in Africa, with a diverse portfolio of 100 hotels in over 30 countries. This growth reflects the continued success of the group in delivering focused expansion strategies, strong local partnerships, and high impact transformations.

Expanding footprint: new market entries and key openings
The Radisson Hotel Group will sign two landmark properties: the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kinshasa and the Radisson Hotel Lubumbashi to proudly announce its entry into the Democratic Republic of the Congo, further strengthening the group's presence in Central Africa.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Kinshasa – Opens late 2026
Strategically located on Tshatshi Boulevard in Gombe district, Kinshasa's main residential and business area, this luxury hotel offers 110 elegantly designed rooms, including standard rooms, suites and presidential suites. Located on Revolution Road Avenue in Lubumbashi, the second largest city in DRC, this luxury hotel offers 97 stylish rooms including standard rooms, junior suites and presidential suites. In Guinea, the group marked an important milestone at the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Conakry, just three months after its signature. Located in the city's lively Kipe district, this modern beachfront property features 282 stylish rooms, suites and apartments, offering ocean views and convenient access to the city's main business and leisure hubs.
The Radisson Hotel Group, which further strengthened its portfolio in the Indian Ocean, has opened with the signature of Crystal Beach Resort Bellmare, a member of Radisson individuals. Located on the east coast of Mauritius, the resort offers 234 spacious accommodations, family amenities and breathtaking lagoon views, making it a destination sought after by travelers of all kinds.

Strengthening strategic markets and future pipelines
In Cameroon, the Radisson Hotel Group continues to strengthen its presence with the signature of Radisson Blu Hotel & Apartments, Yaoundé. The 150-room facility, set to open by the end of 2026, is ideally located in the heart of the capital, just a 30-minute drive from Yound Nesi Malen International Airport.
The hotel has a lively dining venue, including a lobby bar, an all-day dining restaurant and a specialty restaurant. With 1,350m² of flexible meeting and event space, a premium wellness facility, including a spa, gym and a rooftop pool with a vast pool deck, the hotel will become a groundbreaking destination in the city. The signature could also strengthen the ongoing pursuit of growth opportunities across Cameroon, including Douala's key markets.
Meanwhile, the Radisson Hotel Group is deepening its commitment to key markets across the continent.
Morocco: Targeting 30 hotels by 2030, based on an already robust development pipeline. South Africa: We aim to reach 25 hotels by 2030, doubling our current footprint. Nigeria: With entry into the DRC, the group is strengthening its West Africa presence and continues to grow momentum through multiple developments.
