The highly anticipated launch of Queen Nandi Place, a multipurpose luxury event venue at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Estate, will take place on Friday, April 4th, with members of the local travel trade and business community celebrating the opening.
The event was set against the backdrop of stylish interiors at Queen Nandi Place and stunning views of Zambezi National Park and Victoria Falls spray, showing the potential for venues to host a range of features, from weddings and gala dinners to product launches and wellness events.
Queen Nandi Place, part of the Victoria Falls Safari Collection run by the Africa Albida Tourism Hospitality Group, will play an important role in positioning Victoria Falls as a highly competitive destination for meetings, incentives, meetings and events (mouse).
In his welcome remarks, Group Operations Manager Andy Conn highlighted the importance of such facilities in addressing low-season challenges on destination tourism calendars.
“Queen Nandi Place is not just another venue, it's a response to the challenges we face at our destinations during the low season. By attracting more upscale events and meetings over the traditionally quiet months, we want to fill our rooms as well as our Victoria Falls rooms and drive our business for everyone at our destination.
Anal Musunza, Head of Sales and Marketing, also highlighted the importance of collaboration within the tourism sector of the destination.
“Collaboration is important to growing the mouse business in Victoria Falls. Queen Nandi Place is just one puzzle. We need to bring together the entire community and actively place Victoria Falls as a destination for world-class events.”
Named after Queen Nandi, the mother of King Shaka Zul, the venue celebrates her legacy of strength, courage and beauty.
The state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility sits with up to 180 representatives and has a dedicated kitchen to provide seamless event catering.
