Seamless has complete peace of mind: Pullman Cape Town earns the highest safety certification

At Pullman Cape Town City Centre, Table Mountain View and world-class hospitality have an additional layer of warranty as one of the safest hotels in the world. The hotel has achieved premium certification from SafeHotels and has placed it in the world's safest and well-prepared properties.

Safehotels certifies hotels that meet the highest security standards, collaborates with leading international hotel chains and conducts independent audits recognized by corporate travelers and hotel buyers around the world. Through partnership with International SOS, the global leader in health and security risk management, and approval from organizations such as the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction Agency (UNISDR) and the International Conference Convention Association (ICCA), certification is widely trusted as a benchmark for safety and preparation.

Safehotels operates in 71 countries in 203 cities and is trusted by some of the world's largest hotel brands. Their global hotel security standards assess over 230 standards on the premises, including water quality testing, food sanitation protocols, fire prevention systems, emergency response planning and staff training, ensuring internationally recognized safety standards.

“What sets Safehotels' certification stands out is its holistic approach. From the moment guests step into Pullman Cape Town, they are surrounded by invisible care that stretches far beyond the usual hospitality touchpoints. Jaco Bekker, security manager at Pullman Cape Town City Centre, said:

“Achieving Safehotels' premium certification demonstrates our commitment to moving extra distances in terms of guest safety and well-being,” adds Bekker. “Customer clients who need to fulfill their obligations of care when sending employees abroad and families who simply want a relaxed holiday offer globally recognized assurance standards for guest well-being.”

The Safehotels accreditation is consistent with Accor's commitment to redefine hospitality across Africa. With 10 more Accor properties set to achieve certification by 2025, Pullman Cape Town is helping to set new global standards for guest wellbeing.

“As the first South African Pullman brand by Accor Group, we achieved premium status within a year of opening. But Safehotels is more than just compliance. It's about our passion for hospitality and ensuring that every guest feels safe and comfortable from the moment they arrive.”

“Our guests are here to enjoy Cape Town at their best. They should be able to focus on creating memories rather than worrying about safety or health concerns. This certification reflects our commitment to providing peace of mind so that you can fully enjoy everything this incredible city has to offer,” he adds.

“When our guests are with us, they can be reassuring that everything from water quality and hotel meals to food hygiene at the rooftop pool and four restaurants and bars meet international standards,” Williams concludes.
