This July, World Barista Champion Michael Jaysin will collaborate with SA Chef of the Year Johannes Richter to create a multi-sensory journey of precision, passion and pure artistry in every plate and every cup. Expect coffee like you've never imagined. This exclusive collaboration is available in one day only through creative coffee events in partnership with FNB. This kind of magic doesn't happen every day.
The beauty of this experience is that there are only 10 people sitting per session and these incredible professionals will serve you on a journey of flavor and take you there. These pairings are only shared at this event, and this is a truly unique adventure.
What is Omakase? Omakase is a Japanese phrase. In other words, it means “I'll leave it to you.” Essentially it's a chef's choice and you're in their very capable hands. Michael, who is from Indonesia, and his team have created a perfect and perfect variation of the “Omakaf” version for the occasion.
Not only do you taste Michael's work, you're also working with the 2025 SA Chef of the Year Johannes Richter to combine coffee from the living room (#1 luxury dining experience at KZN at Eat Out) with unique South African treats.
Michael's assistant traveling from Indonesia is Georgius' “Odi” Teha.
Two of the best baristas in the world with the best chefs in the country team up to serve you with intimate and completely imaginative sensory experiences in the living room.
Book a seat now – if you miss your taste, your taste will never forgive you.
