Popular holiday hotspots where British people say bars are “silent” | Travel News | Travel

British tourists are concerned that their beloved holiday hotspots are “decaying” after a video surfaced online where abandoned bars at the resort show “silenced.” A post by travelers on social media has led many to comment that their destination has become a “ghost town.”

A tourist named Schellen raised the alarm after reporting in a video of Marmaris, Turkey, that “14 bars had been closed so far.” In her obvious footage, she pointed out that “the beach was closed even during the day,” highlighting the unusual tranquility of the typical bustling area.

Cherene attributed this intrusion to Türkiye's “new rules” that placed a curfew at the venue. Expressing her confusion, Shellen states:

“Close everything, look. It's ridiculous, is it crazy? It's mad. All these bars are empty, it's crazy.” This clip shows some of the facilities in operation, but they appear to be sparsely densely populated.

Shellen has not only noticed major changes in her recent destination. Others also quickly expressed their concerns.

The news includes previous closing times for venues and restrictions on playing music at night as Marmaris implements stricter regulations in the nightlife scene.

Now, new regulations are in place as staff introduce measures as a respectful respect for local people amid reports of concern over strange behavior at certain venues at popular holiday spots.

The new administration and curfew have only been established recently, but music restrictions from midnight onwards have been around for some time. According to the report, the facility must close the door by 1am, so visitors must leave 30 minutes before 12:30am.

If any of the protocols is violated, authorities will allow the problematic facility to be closed. The tightening rules have sparked extensive commentary on Marmaris' evolving atmosphere, particularly following Schellen's video post.

I grieved: “The turkey is dead.” Another commenter added, “I will never go to Türkiye again.”

Someone else replied: “Give me two years. No one will go there very little.” Meanwhile, the fourth person lamented the past time, saying, “Marmaris was once so much fun, it's sad that they ruined tourism.”

However, some people relate to the need for these restrictions. Opinions vary. Some individuals suggest a simple approach. “But there is a simple solution, but follow the rules, I think midnight is enough time to enjoy the night.

Another person shared the experience, saying, “My friend has a place on top of the gigros (the supermarket). We stayed there last August. The noise from the bars and restaurants was really intrusive. Marmaris is a very beautiful place. I think he's a great move from the government.”

Some commenters also said that if the facility downplays regulations, they could face temporary closures.
