The clip will allow viewers to be exhibited in several stores, cafes and restaurants, and have the opportunity to see the beautiful scenery it offers. Located on the western edge of the Moors in North York, Osmothery has long been associated with walking routes.
Today, one of the three long distance trails through the village, one of the Cleveland Way, the Coast to Coast and the Like Wake Walk, is popular with walkers looking to explore the ancient Drawvers route.
A statement on the Moorish people in North York stated, “It was a popular stopover for cattlemen in Scotland as they moved the herd south along Hambleton Drive Road back to the 1800s.
“With a raised position and water supply, the Osmothery location is attractive to early settlers, and its name means “clearing belonging to Asmand,” meaning “Asmandrerak” in Domesday's book.
“For centuries, the village has developed into small towns, partly due to its proximity to the monasteries and chapels.
“Osmotherley's convenient location was also a popular encounter point for traders, and by the 19th century it was a hub for residential workers in nearby quarries and textile industry.”
“The clues to Osmothery's religious past are everywhere. The village itself features a small greenery preached by John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church, the chapel (one of the oldest in the UK), and St. Peter's Church.”
