Tanzania's conservation partner, Singita and Grumeti Fund, partnered to create a second Wagora Bike Ride through Tanzania's Singita Grumeti Reserve from October 27th to November 1st, 2025. This year we will be experiencing Wagora Ride. The event is a life-changing opportunity for bike enthusiasts to gather at Serengeti to help the Grumeti Fund anti-poaching scouts.
Ride's name pays tribute to Beijing Vagora, an anti-surveillance scout who was tragically killed by a poacher during patrol in 2008. generation.
The event will pass approximately 150 km over three days via the western corridor of the Serengeti. Endless scenery and exciting animal sightings are part of the journey, with Grumeti Fund scouts and support vehicles accompanying riders for safety and comfort. The route has flat, dirt, gravel and sandy paths, single-track off-road trails, and no advanced experience is required to participate.
Participants will stay at the Singita Sabora Tented Camp for 5 nights. This timeless and elegant tent camp symbolizes modern safari under the canvas, and its airy, calm space is ideal for riders to relax and relive the adventures of the day. It's a rest area.
During downtime, participants can visit some of the Grumeti Fund facilities, including learning more about the Grumeti Fund's active conservation efforts, including research and innovation at the Serengeti Ecosystem Center (RISE). We will also visit the Joint Operations Center (JOC). There, participants gain insight into site operations, meet poaching scouts, dogs and handlers from dog units, and proceed to game drive.
All funds raised will be directed to supporting the continued efforts of the Gourmetty Fund's anti-surveillance unit, who works tirelessly to protect wildlife here. The donation portion helps fund scout training. Equipment; Hire more rangers to patrol the land. It supports training and maintaining dog units and special teams.
Ride for a reason
Wagora Bike Ride is not a race, but an opportunity to experience the spectacular landscape of Serengeti from a unique perspective. There is a variable route that starts at sunrise, starts at Singita Sabora and ends.
In addition to anti-arming scouts, there are also bicycle mechanics that can assist with basic repairs if necessary.
This unforgettable experience is $9,150 per person (single) or $6,450 per person (shared) for a 5 night package, including a return flight with Grumeti Air from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Singita Grumeti It's 6,450 US dollars. Additional US tax-deductible donations will be added to US$17,000 per person or US$10,000 per person (shared) to be used to combat illegal poaching.
Entries are based on a first come first served basis. All solo riders must be over the age of 18 (16 and 17 riders are also permitted if accompanied by a parent or guardian). The payment deadline is June 30th, 2025.
