Europe is set to get a brand new, incredible theme park to compete with Disneyland Paris, and will open at the end of May. Hosoland is a fairy tale-themed adventure land that will open on the north coast of Poland on May 31st. The park is centered around a lighthouse, and its attractions are inspired by local Baltic legends and fairy tales.
The four lands that make up the park include the mine Dragon Valley, Viking Land, Baltamburi Kingdom, and Mermaid Street. The plans for the giant park were first announced in 2017 and hope to rival some of Europe's biggest themed amusement parks. Hossoland spans 400,000 square meters of M/430,556sq ft and has 50 rides at outstanding attractions in Ghostrider, Steel Coaster and Park. The new multi-million-pound roller coaster extends 53m/176ft with guests in a thrilling ride at a speed of 72mph/115kmph.
Karen Hofsepang, vice president of Hosso Group, park operator, told Planet Attractions:
The park was soon to welcome 1 million tourists a year and was supposed to open last spring, but hopefully it will be delayed until 2025
Ms Hovsepyan also highlighted the park's unique location on the Polish coast, saying, “We promise to significantly increase tourism in the area as this location not only becomes a standout attraction within Poland, but is also an important destination for nearby Berlin residents.”
The attraction also has 20 different food and drink areas within the park, so even the noisy eaters will find something.
Beyond the initial theme park, Hosso Group has ambitious plans to make further developments and already plan to add a water park and theme land after the opening.
For the beloved British people of the theme park that want to visit Hossoland, the closest airport is Szczecin. British people can book direct flights with Ryanair from both Liverpool and London. The park is then about an hour's drive from the airport and three hours' drive from Berlin.
However, the only new theme park to open in Europe in 2025 will not run to Disneyland Paris for that money.
Bommelwerald is an indoor theme park based on Dutch comic characters Tom Poes and Ollie B. Bommel, and is a beloved character created by cartoonist Marten Toonderand.
The 9,000 square meters/96,875 square feet site features 18 attractions and doors will be opened later this year, including a minifull meride and a climbing tower.
Visitors can enter the park through the castle and explore a variety of themed areas, including the Dark Tree Forest and the Inventors section.
Director Edwin Bombers says visitors “feel like they're outside” in the “weatherproof” indoor adventure land.
Europe Park is Europe's largest theme park and the second most popular theme park resort on the continent, following Disneyland Paris. Europe Park is located in the last in southwestern Germany, between Freiburg and Strasbourg, France.
