Oman officially became OneWorld's 15th member airline on June 30th, three years after he announced his intention to join Doha's 2022 IATA AGM.
The Middle Eastern airline will become the second new member of the Alliance this year after Fiji Airlines joined in March.
“We are proud to welcome Oman Air into the OneWorld family,” says Nat Pieper, CEO of OneWorld.
“This partnership opens exciting new connections for our customers, particularly across the Gulf and South Asia, and strengthens OneWorld's position as a premium alliance for international travelers.”
Once you mark your membership, Omanair will begin direct flights to Amsterdam Schiphol on July 1, with customers taking advantage of the dedicated One World Lounge, which opened last year.
It will join Qatar Airways and the Royal Yordanians as the third Middle Eastern Airlines of the Alliance.
Oman Air operates a fleet of 32 Boeing aircraft, featuring nine 787-9s and 23 737 family jets.
