Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), an innovator of global cruise travel, today announced that both the Norwegian epic and NCL’s Pride of America will be undergoing a regeneration project in time for the 2025 summer travel season.
New enhancements designed to provide guests with the freedom and flexibility to design the best cruise holidays include the addition of a reimagined water park for kids, the expansion of beach clubs with an adult-only atmosphere, and the expansion of additional accommodation.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the process of doing things,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We look forward to hearing guest feedback and offering more from this summer, as the Norwegian epic sails for Europe and the American Pride of America continues to offer the world’s only interisland Hawaiian voyage 52 weeks away from Honolulu!”
The newly renovated Norwegian epic will debut in Europe on May 8, 2025
After the three-week dry dock of Norwegian epic is completed on May 8, 2025, the top deck will gain some notable extensions in the more outdoor experience. Renovations include a brand new hot tub on deck 18 and a Refresh Kids Aqua Park, which replaces Splashgolf and offers more fun activities for adults and children.
Guests are also more involved in the expansion of Vibe Beach Club. An adult-only outdoor oasis replaces the Posh Beach Club, offering additional hot tubs, more lounge chairs and a new private cabana while enjoying spectacular views of the Greek islands and the Mediterranean. The Dry Dock plan also includes the addition of eight new staterooms. This is a combination of a balcony and sea views.
From May 8, 2025, Norwegian epic sails a variety of 9, 10 and 11 days of cruises from Rome, Italy (Civitavecchia). Valletta, Malta; as well as historic cities such as Naples, Catania, and Florence/Pisa (Livorno) in Italy. Following an immersive European voyage season, the Norwegian epic returns to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and travels a seven-day Southern Caliburn cruise to Tortola, the Virgin Islands in the UK. St. John’s, Antigua. Bridgetown, Barbados. Castries, St. Lucia. Phillipsburg, St. Marchen. St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands, USA.
America’s pride to receive your new NCL guest’s favorite updates
From May 3rd to 31st, 2025, Pride of America will receive notable upgrades, including adding a new Starbucks location within the Capitol Atrium on Deck 5. The NCL is to allow guests who crave a friendly game of competition to enjoy pickle balls within the existing sports court.
This summer, guests will have more choices when it comes to accommodation. Pride of America will have three internal staterooms, 12 new club balcony suites and 12 decks. The Teen Club, an NCL youth club for ages 3-12, will be redirected to Deck 6, previously held by the S/S America Library, Internet Café and Chapel. And then there was the addition of a library and card room that was once a shuffle card room.
Once the nearly three weeks of Pride of America’s dry dock is complete, she will return to Honolulu on May 31, 2025, offering guests the only seven-day interisland cruise to win a class. With a 52-week departure per year, the bucket list itinerary offers nearly 100 hours of port time to truly explore the natural beauty of four majestic islands during the week, including overnight in Maui and Kauai for a more immersive experience on the land.
