North Atlantic Airways is pleased to announce an expansion in flight frequencies from London Gatwick to the Cape Town route. As demand rises, Scandinavia is responding to more services to accommodate leisure and business travelers alike.
Both Nordic have extended the season to eight months, adding the first flight of the new season departing from London Gatwick on October 2, 2025, and the last flight back from Cape Town on May 31, 2026.
“Following the success of our inauguration season, we are seeing great opportunities in the South African market,” said Bird Nordhagen, Chief Commercial Officer of Nords Atlantic Airways. “We want to show the trade and consumer markets by expanding the services we operate.
Scandinavian now offers up to six weekly flights. This strategic increase will provide passengers with greater flexibility and connectivity while maintaining the distinctive affordability of Scandinavians.

This increase in frequency reflects both customer trust and Nordic Aviation's long-term growth strategy,” said Andrew Fish, head of sales for the UK and South Africa at Nordic Aviation, “Northern Europe is dedicated to providing a reliable, seamless experience combining comfort, choice and value.”
All flights operate using a modern fleet of Scandinavian Modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner, providing passengers with a comfortable onboard experience to choose from between the economy and the Scandinavian premium cabin. Tickets can now be booked through all major Global Distribution Systems (GDS). It makes travel agents and partners around the world easy to access Nordic expansion products.
