Nigerian airline Air Peace is preparing to open London's Heathrow Service to complement its Gatwick business.
According to Nigerian Airlines Minister Festuski Amo, it secures “coveted” slots in major UK hubs.
This follows “months of diplomatic interactions and shuttles” under the country's bilateral aviation services agreement, where Nigerians “assert our mutual rights.”
Data from the UK slot coordination agency ACL for the 2025-26 season confirms Air Peace, which was confirmed as a newcomer on six weekly services. The winter schedule will begin on October 26th.
The ACL shows that Air Peace originally requested 308 slots.
Air Peace's booking engine does not yet have the Heathrow service. The carrier uses a Boeing 777 on the Gatwick route from Lagos.
