Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) and National College of Tourism (NCT) are partnering to provide new skills development initiatives aimed at preparing young Tanzanians for careers in the hospitality and tourism sector. The “Learning for Life” program recently marked the graduation of the first cohort at NCT's Dar Es Salaam campus, with 109 young participants (of which women) completing training designed to bridge the gap between education and employment in the country's growing tourism economy.

The course combines basic hospitality training with important soft skills such as communication, leadership and customer service with specialized guidance through the Diageo Bar Academy. Government and industry figures, including Dr. Pindi Chana, Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism in Tanzania, have approved the initiative as a key contribution to national development. The program is set to expand nationwide as Tanzania's tourism sector continues to grow, attracting over 5.3 million visitors in 2024 and generating around US$4 billion in revenue.
