Cruise fans on the hunt for their next adventure at sea don't need to look any further than the new, incredibly luxurious river boat. Amawater Ways officially baptized Amasintola, the latest luxury river cruise ship, which has set out on a voyage along the picturesque Douro River.
The ship is a sister of Amadouro, who debuted in 2019. It can carry 102 passengers, and the ship has 51 staterooms, equipped with an outer balcony and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Holiday makers can relax in the sundeck pool, relaxing lounge space, or fit in holiday workouts in the fitness room when Amasin tra cruises through Spain and Portugal.
Starting this year, new ships will sail the stunning Douro River from March to December each year.
The enchanting cruise calls Porto in Resue, then crosses the border to the historic Spanish city of Salamanca.
Welcome to one of Spain's most beautiful cities, Salamanca has a palace and is famous for its sandstone buildings.
Along the stunning route, guests can soak up local wine tasting and excursions through Portugal's oldest wine-producing regions.
At the main restaurant, cruisers can expect to find regionally inspired dishes along with their global favorites.
Those who want longer hours may choose to extend their stay with a 3 night land stay in Lisbon before joining the cruise.
A cruise on the Amasintra starts at £2,927 per person for round-trip sailing from Porto.
“We are excited to introduce another beautiful ship to the Douro River and increase the opportunity to explore this fascinating area,” said Christine Karst, co-founder and chief brand ambassador of Amawater Ways.
She added: “Portuguese is becoming more popular as a river cruise destination, and Amasintola offers an unforgettable experience for everyone who sets off.
