Munich Airport Academy and University of Colorado Denver announce collaboration
The Munich Airport Academy and the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) Business School have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). The two agencies will collaborate in a training programme for aviation professionals. The partnership marks the first alliance with AirportAcademy's international universities, highlighting its shared commitment to cultivating future industry leaders.
According to the contract, the Education Training Department at Munich Airport will develop and provide professional training modules for students enrolled in the newly launched Executive MBA (EMBAA) program at CU Denver. The first training course is expected to begin in 2026 and will combine the academy's operational know-how with CU Denver's academic program.
“We are pleased that this partnership puts practical airport-based insight into an executive education program designed for decision-makers in the aviation industry,” said Alexander Hömer, Senior Vice President of Airport Academy. “This also strengthens the close relationship between Munich and Denver airports, which have been part of the global sister airport network since 1991. It is an initiative consisting of eight international airports that share knowledge, gather ideas and exchange experiences regularly,” adds Hemer.

CU Denver's EMBAA program has never been comparable in the US.
