    Mozambique temporarily suspends ETA requirements for visa waiver travelers

    Due to technical difficulties, Mozambique temporarily suspended its recently implemented electronic travel certification (ETA) requirements.

    Since early May, Mozambique had requested travelers in 29 visa-waived countries to notify the authorities at least 48 hours in advance by submitting an ETA application.

    This procedure has been an option since 2023, but has recently been mandated to help the government better predict travel flows and strengthen border security. However, the new scale only lasted a few days…

    In a press release released on May 16, 2025, Mozambican authorities announced an immediate but temporary suspension of ETA requirements.
