This scenic city is often forgotten. It is a quiet and beautiful place and definitely worth a visit. In the summer, the cathedral city attracts visitors from all over the world, taking trains just a few minutes from Dover (30 minutes) and London (90 minutes).

Canterbury is famous for its beautiful picturesque scenery and is compared to Paris. It is a typical British city with cobblestone streets and incredible gardens. The old-fashioned buildings remind us of their history, but there are also a variety of modern shops in the city. There is something for everyone in this quaint country.

Reports suggest that the British villa even compared it to the City of Love, thanks to artisan shops, boutique galleries and quaint cafes that create a romantic atmosphere reminiscent of the French capital.

A must-see while you're in Canterbury Cathedral. This famous and grand structure is the center of reconciliation.

UNESCO has given parts of the city World Heritage status, including St. Martin's Church, St. Augustine's Abbey and the Cathedral.

    A Tripadvisor visitor said:

“We toured and the guide was very knowledgeable and passionate, and it really made it special.

“Everyone was professional and very well organized. The area around the cathedral is wonderful to wander.”

Canterbury's medieval city centre busts of medieval city centre with famously named shops and exclusive boutiques, picturesque side streets with small specialist shops, pubs and restaurants making it an exciting day trip.

Another essential item is to visit Westgate Garden. This scenic territory appears to be straight from the film.

    A TripAdvisor visitor said:

“There's so much to see and it brings about another great photo manipulation with each turn. Make this a priority when visiting Canterbury.”

The city is also known for its Canterbury Tales in Chaucer. This is a historical textbook famously for having stood the test of time. More than 600 years ago, this text was known all over the world.

If you're looking for a unique place to visit or visit in the summer day trip, Canterbury may be the perfect place to enjoy a break.
