Whether you enjoy your trip or not, travelling by plane can be stressful. From making sure you pass through security before boarding to worrying during flight, such as turbulence, that can be a lot to deal with.
And for parents traveling with their children, it's an even more intense experience. There is a lot to worry about, from making sure your little ones are calm and happy to ensuring you have everything you need for flight.
One man travelling by plane was confused when his mother, sitting in front of him, handed him a note. And when he read the message he was shed tears.
Elliot Norris, creator of travel online content, went to Tiktok and shared what happened. He said: “I want to cry. A mom who had her newborn in front of me on the plane gave me this.”
Based in Los Angeles, USA, Elliott showed clear plastic bags filled with sweets such as Starburst and Twix and chocolate, as well as earplugs with notes inside. “It's my first light! I've signed a contract to take my best actions — but I can't guarantee it!
“There are some treats to make your flight fun. Thank you for your patience. Have a great flight!”
In the caption, Elliott added:
Traveling with a newborn baby can be stressful for any parent. They may cry because of pressure and discomfort, and while most people understand, some parents may feel stressed if it is bothering someone nearby.
In the comments section, many people sympathize with her mom and were blown away by her thoughtful gestures. One wrote: “I'm sure she'd felt this even thinking about this. People needed to be kinder and we were all babies.”
Another said: “Be kind to her. It's such a hell flying with the baby,” the third commented: “She's a great person who cares for others.”
“Dear New Parents: No, you don't need to do this. Your baby is there and has the right to exist. We all know that the baby will cry. We know that you are doing the best,” someone else commented.
But someone else who has tried this approach before said it wasn't working for them. They commented: “I did this for my child's first flight, and the passengers were so mean and didn't have a bag. My kids were sleeping all the way through, so I wasted my time.”
Traveling with your baby requires careful planning. To minimize baby ear pain, you can provide dummies to suck during takeoff or landing, or feed your baby. If you don't know anything, please talk to your GP.
