{KXLG – SD, SD} Watertown Fire Rescue (WFR) responded to crashing two vehicles at the intersection of 14th Avenue NE and US Highway 81 on Friday morning.
On March 28th, Watertown Fire Rescue Engine 4 and Medic 4 were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the crew discovered that a white Honda Civic and a black Jeep Wagoneer collided at the intersection.
According to WFR, one passenger involved in the accident was assessed by Medic 4 paramedics. The individual was later released on the scene and was not required to transport the hospital. Other residents of either vehicle did not require medical evaluation.
The engine 4 crew helped clean debris from the road and manage traffic flow. The Honda Civic caused enough damage to require a towing from the scene with an active towing, but the Jeep Wagoneer was reported to be driving.
Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on the scene by the Watertown Police Department. The crew remained on site for about 25 minutes before clearing the area.
