The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Agency (MTPA) exhibited the island's diverse tourism products at New Delhi's South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2025 from February 19th to 21st. The event brought great involvement from Indian travel experts, and the MTPA Pavilion welcomed around 450 visitors, including tour operators, travel agents and media representatives. Featuring 12 key partners including Air Mauritius, destination management companies and hotels, the pavilion highlighted Mauritius as a versatile destination for luxury travelers, honeymooners and adventure seekers.
As part of a strategy to attract more Indian visitors, MTPA focuses on strengthening connections and simplified travel arrangements. Mauritius offers visa-free admission to Indian citizens, and direct flights run by Air Mauritius, Air India and Indigo guarantee seamless access. The attraction of the destination is also strengthened by marketing initiatives that place Mauritius as an ideal holiday for weddings, family holidays and cultural experiences. With India emerging as a major source market, MTPA's continued involvement with travel transactions is expected to drive further growth in India's arrival.
