Aviation analytics expert Cirium agrees to a strategic partnership with the African Aviation Association (AFRAA) and promotes growth in the continent's aviation sector through an enhanced analytical framework.
According to Cirium, cooperation with the Airline Trade Association is at a critical time as 2024 saw a 27% increase in international passenger flights with Africa from the previous year.
Rapid growth presents opportunities for airlines on the continent, says Jeremy Bowen, CEO of Cirium:
Insights gathered from Cirium's analytics solutions, including the DIIO SRS Analyzer for strategic scheduling insights, promote Fleet Analaser for fleet planning and sustainability initiatives, allowing airlines across the continent to plan, respond efficiently and unlock new revenue opportunities.
AFRAA held its 13th stakeholder convention in Kigali, Africa this week, and this latest collaboration, as highlighted this week, will align with its strategy, improving connectivity, reducing operational costs, increasing sustainability and fostering digital transformation across the sector.
“The use of data-driven tools is critical to providing intelligence to stakeholders in airlines, airports, governments, regulators and other industry to maintain and enhance aviation in Africa.” In partnership with Cirium, he added, “We will accelerate our ability to meet data needs and ensure we are ahead of the rapidly evolving market.”
