Sun City has a secret season of fun and entertainment for everyone
These winter chills become distant memories as Sunfest visits Sun City Resort between the end of May and August, where Sunfest promises 11 weeks of non-stop joy. The mild, dry winter climate of the Northwest state means a load of exciting outdoor events and activities, and a mega-line of concerts to cater to any musical flavour, including jazz, gospel, R&B, Afrikaansrock.
This annual winter program is bigger and better than ever, using something for everyone and every age. With many open and school holidays in the calendar, this is a great opportunity to pack your bags and head north.
To pique your appetite for fun, the programme begins on Saturday, May 31st with a movie night in the greenhouse. June is packed with hilarious pieces for Father's Day weekend. An unforgettable evening of worship and praise, as gospel artist Bucy Radebe chronicles her latest live album. And Sonu Nigam, one of India's most iconic and versatile singers, was famous for his soulful voice.

Ziyakhala Mo Sun City Festival, a fuzzy clearing celebration of traditional music, culture and fashion, will take place on Saturday, June 28th, 2025.
Additionally, Sun City has partnered with SABC African Language Stations to become the leading voice of all marketing communications at Ziyakhala Mo Sun City Festival, touching all enthusiasts of traditional South African music who want to experience these unique cultural celebrations and touching on Ziyakhala Mo Sun City Festival.
This partnership allows for a seamless and authentic fusion of various key voices in the entertainment space, where you can speak directly with the audience and share your love for music and culture.
Coming in July, it's silent disco time, coinciding with the school holidays, a club under 18 in Encore. The young guests get excited when the Smurfs come in. Afrikaans music lovers will gain full momentum for Euro Rock on Saturday, July 19th, exploring a variety of musical genres including Die Whales Fantastices, Juan Bouché, Karen Zoids, Francova Van Cola, and rock, indie, alternatives, and countries.

August is of course the month for women, and the 9th of the National Women's Day. From Friday, August 8th to Sunday, August 10th, the All for Women concert will include many events. There will be a gala dinner on Friday, followed by international legendary Kenny Latimore Live on Saturday's iconic Sun City Super Bowl stage. Known for his soulful voice and seductive stage presence, Lattimore plays fan favourites such as “I'll do it for you,” “If you can see you,” and “You don't need to cry.” On Sunday, Metro FM's love moves will take guests on a musical journey into the heart of love and rhythm featuring Wilson B. Nkosi, Centru, Paul Mutirara and Misi Shenbe.
There is no time to rest: the next weekend, the first Bakwena Jazz Experience will be an elegant celebration of music, culture and elegance. It includes an intimate jazz dinner, golf day at Gary Player Country Club and a main event on August 15th and 16th. The main event includes a premium ticket holder dinner that perfectly combines a 4-course gourmet dinner with a beautiful selection of wines that are perfectly paired with a 4-course gourmet dinner, while experiencing the avant-garde lineup of jazz superstars.
