The Airbus A220-300, run by JetBlue Airways, left the runway after landing at Boston Logan International Airport and then stopped in a grassy area.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirms it is investigating the JetBlue Flight 312 from Chicago to Boston.

Images circulating on social media show jets with noses and main landing gear in the grass, and emergency vehicles surrounding the aircraft.

JetBlue says no passengers or crew injuries were reported from the runway excursion. Passengers left the aircraft on the stairs and then took a bus to the terminal.

“We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and work closely with relevant authorities to understand the cause,” the airline says.

Meanwhile, Boston Logan experienced an average inbound flight delay of about two hours on the afternoon of June 12, as the incident disrupted both arrivals and departures, according to flying platform FlightAware.

The A220, marked with the Tail Number N3242J, fell over the Airbus production line in Mobile, Alabama in December. The Twinjet is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1500G Turbofans.
