Jet2 changes check-in for passengers flying from these UK airports | Travel News | Travel

JET2 makes changes to the check-in service, allowing passengers to check in on their flights and allow bags to be dropped off the day before.

Budget airlines offer Twilight check-in services at 11 airports across the UK, allowing passengers to save valuable time on their departure dates and head for security, without having to stand in a long check-in queue. Normally, passengers must go to the airport at least two hours before the flight departs and board at the check-in desk upon arrival to hand over baggage and drop the baggage, but this process can make the morning a little easier the night before.

However, JET2 only serves at selected UK airports and is limited to passengers departing by midday. So, if you have a morning flight booked and there is an airport where the plane runs through Twilight service, you can unload your suitcase between 4:30pm and 9:00pm the previous day.

Therefore, passengers bypass airport check-in on their departure day and head straight for security when they arrive at the airport the next day.

Jet2 offers services at the next 11 airports across the UK, seven days a week.

Passengers must check in online from 28 days to 24 hours in advance before flight via the JET2 website or app.

One party can unload a bag of up to six people, but passengers must bring their boarding pass and passport to Twilight check-in.

Some UK airports offer free limited parking for customers while using Twilight check-in, so there is no need to pay additional costs to use the service.

    Jet2 states:

“The free Twilight check-in service allows you to unload your bags at the UK departure airport between 4:30pm and 9:00pm before your morning flight.

“Thanks to Twilight check-in, when you arrive on your departure the next day, your luggage is already sorted out. If you live near the airport or stay at a nearby hotel, it will be a little easier in the morning.

“To use Twilight check-in, you must check in online starting from 28 days. Up to 24 hours before your flight, via our website or app.”
