The Tryall Club, once a 19th century sugar plantation, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, has been a favorite hideaway of billionaires and celebrities for many years. Kumiko, an innovative dining bar offering Japanese flavours in Chicago's West Loop, was named the best bar in the world at the 19th Spirit Awards in New Orleans last night. Co-founded by bartender Julia Momose, who was acclaimed in 2018 and local restaurateur Kara and Noah Sandoval, Kumiko praises minimalist food and drinks from the start, including former chef Michelin star Maria Russell (the first black woman to win an award from Michelin star).
