British Cruise Line Canard has unveiled a refreshed Queen Elizabeth following a three-week makeover ahead of the highly anticipated Miami and Alaska season. The 2,000 guest ship has received extensive updates that blend the classic Cunard Luxury and Modern Comfort.
After completing renovations at the Admiralty Yard of Singapore's Citrium, Queen Elizabeth is ready to welcome guests with improved interiors, upgraded outdoor spaces and the introduction of new dining experiences. Important areas such as the Commodore Club, Queen's Room, Garden Lounge and Pavilion have all been revitalized. Known for its signature martinis and panoramic ocean views, the Commodore Club features stylish accessories and upgraded seating.
Queen's Room, home to Cunard's famous afternoon tea and gala nights, has been updated with a new design inspired by the mulberry trees of the Royal Palace.
Guests staying in the Grill Suite also enjoy enhanced interiors, new furniture and a redesigned grill terrace. This offers double sunbeds for relaxing while enjoying views of Caribbean and Alaska.
For those who are relaxing outdoors, the Lido Pool Club has been upgraded to offer a bright poolside experience with a bar menu featuring Whirlpools and local Caribbean rum and tequila.
More sun shades have been added to the rear deck to provide comfort in warmer climates.
The main highlight of the renovation is the introduction of the Pavilion Wellness Café, the concept first introduced in Cunard's Anne.
This health-centric dining venue offers fresh smoothies, grain bowls and seasonal produce, allowing guests to maintain a balanced diet at sea.
Meanwhile, the Garden Lounge, inspired by Kew Gardens, is updated with new carpets, furniture and decorations, creating a calm and airy space for guests to relax.
Queen Elizabeth will make history by spending her first full season in Miami, offering a round-trip Caribbean cruise from 9 to 28 nights.
The ship will visit other destinations, including Montego Bay in Jamaica, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and St. John's in Antigua.
Alaska's first season from Seattle begins on June 12th, with the first 12 night Caribbean voyage from Miami departing on October 16th.
“We're excited to be able to help you get the better of our customers,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard. “As Queen Elizabeth begins this exciting new chapter, we are delighted to be able to offer guests an even more refined experience with a beautifully updated space that combines classic cunard style with modern comfort.”
