The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that IATA Aviation Day Middle East and North Africa (MENA) will focus on digitalization, airspace management, sustainability, modern airline retailing and future skills. The event will be held in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from May 6th to 7th, 2025 and will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
“Aviation is a catalyst for economic and social development. It strengthens trade, promotes tourism and creates jobs. The economy and society throughout the MENA region is benefiting from a fast-growing pace of doubled passenger traffic by 2040.
This was the first airline deimena held in Saudi Arabia. Kamil Arawady, regional vice president of Africa and the Middle East, said:
