When you think of Wales, you might think of the majestic peaks and huge valleys carved into glaciers during the ice age.

However, there are many beautiful seaside towns in the country, making it a great place to enjoy the day.

Whether you prefer walking on the beach or lounge, enjoying a sea immersion, or taking a walk along the beach or taking a bite, there's a place for you.

Of course, you can do all of the above.

I was in Wales in a quarter, and my grandparents owned a caravan in Powis when they were growing up.

This meant I was fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of family breaks across the western border during the half-year and summer holidays.

I cherish the memories from these for the rest of my life despite my childhood injuries (cracked teeth and huge nosebleeds if you have to know).

It is the par that the course grows.

Our itinerary usually involves a beachside trip and one town was the perfect place to travel.

Barmouth is between Llanaber and Fairbourne and is usually not included in the list of Wales' most popular coastal destinations.

It is relatively small and has a large parking lot. Unfortunately, you'll have to pay to use it, but the cost is worth it.

There is a huge beach to explore. I thought our family dog had escaped on the dunes and there was one of the horrors of my life and a small pier.

The ferry will be operated on the other side of the Mawddach estuary.

The train also crosses the waters of the Barmouth Bridge, a wooden railway viaduct that is 820 metres long, and spotters may gather together with cameras to take photos of rare locomotives.

It is very unique and has recently been upgraded by network rails.

This structure was first opened in 1867 over 150 years ago.

The road to the north is a few entertainment. These include classics such as bumper cars, slides and etosetera.

The ice cream is pretty good.

In the other direction, it's not my tea, but shellfish fans can enjoy the shellfish in the lobster pot.

Nearby there is always family crab fishing with buckets and wires in the harbor.

When I was younger, I wasn't this bad for myself.

My bucket usually contained at least a few, but I definitely rolled my eyes thinking “never again” and waited for me to come back.

There are plenty of cafes on the beach to choose from when lunch is ready.

I usually went to the tuna mayonnaise sandwich, which is one of my favorites today.

If you don't have Seaside fun, the Barmouth itself is worth exploring, with the above panoramic walks and perspectives.
