The St. Brakes Bay Hotel is located across the street from St. Brelade Bay Beach in the UK Channel. This is a 4-star 77-room hotel known for its exceptional service and elegant decorations.
The hotel is located on a 5-acre property and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in its restaurant. This includes fresh fish and classics of jerseys, such as the famous Jersey Royal. There is also a health club, home to gyms, swimming pools and spa services.
It is only a 30-minute flight from London and a 10-minute drive from the airport, so you will be transported to a remote home. You can see it from the reception, bar, restaurant and several rooms. At the back of the hotel is also a fantastic garden overlooking a neat garden with well-maintained lawns, plants and trees.

room
The hotel has a wide range of rooms and is available in all price ranges. Choose from a double or twin room with garden views or ocean views. The view features a flat-screen TV, free WiFi and a private bathroom.
If you like to choose a balcony, you can choose one of these rooms. Other choices of rooms include excellent double or twin rooms with sea views, balconies, junior suites or luxurious penthouses.
We were handed the key to the penthouse, one of the hotel's four offerings, and had a view of the bay and a large balcony with sun loungers. The penthouse also features a separate lounge and dining area, free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge and tea making facilities. The large bedroom also featured tables and chairs, a dressing table and a comfortable bed overlooking the sea.
Additional benefits include access to luxurious toiletries, bottled water and turndown service from the lovely staff we used.

How does St. Brelade Bay Hotel compare to hotels in the UK?
Food and drinking
The hotel offers three dining options, including a Bay Restaurant, Bay Bar and a Petit Port Café, which runs from May to September.
The dining room at the Bay Restaurant, its own destination, offers views of the bay. The chefs take pride in presenting fresh, locally-grown seafood and vegetables.
You can also relax at Bayber, which offers a series of food, drinks and entertainment most nights.
Petit Port Cafe offers views of visitors to the hotel's main swimming pool and views of St. Brelade's Bay, the perfect way to spend your summer day. It offers light lunches, hearty dinners and cocktails in the perfect location for hotel guests and non-residents.

For our stay we dined at the Bay Restaurant. The starters include the day's soup, salt and pepper squid, and sheared local scallops, but the main options boast that day's fish, half the local lobster, pasta truffle and bread-roasted chicken breast. The salmon was the tastiest fish I've ever had, but the chicken was damp and melted in my mouth.
The pudding was also delicious, with options such as Limon Cello Pistachio Blueberry Tiramisu, Cherry Bakewell Pudding, and Blood Orange and Chocolate Delis. The food was of excellent standards and the staff could not attract any more attention.
The hotel also offers speedy room service with a large menu, with some groceries available 24/7. If you are staying on the weekend, don't forget to try the Sunday lunch menu.
Once the morning arrives, the hotel will also be served a continental buffet breakfast along with newly cooked pancakes, waffles and omelettes. The selection at the buffet breakfast was one of the best I've ever seen, including fresh pastries, full English breakfast options, fruit, cereals, meat and more.
Amenities
position
The hotel location was perfect, located in the bay and only a 10 minute drive from the airport. The luxury market neighborhood is fun to run while you go to the bay. It's especially quiet in April.
It is also close to many restaurants and a little far from shops such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Boots and more. Some recommended restaurants include a beach club, delicious food and drinks served, and a Jersey Crab Shed on the beach, just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. We also highly recommend visiting Lare Wine Estate. It offers tours, restaurants and shops.
St. Helier, the capital of Jersey, is just 20 minutes' drive away, like most places, thanks to the island's length and nine miles wide. You can also easily explore Jersey Whart Tunnel and Elizabeth Castle. Both are within 6 miles of the hotel.

It's really hard to put into words how wonderful this hotel is. Staff, location, amenities, food options, everything remained comfortable and relaxed.
The rooms offer a comfortable place to spend a short or long stay, and the unique accents of each room provide a thoughtful and homely touch. The reception area is also very welcoming, with large sofas and armchairs relaxing, and the gardens are well maintained.
I couldn't blame this hotel and I look forward to coming back for another relaxed stay.
If you're planning a relaxing break with just as good views as the Canary Islands, the hotel is a must-see this year. However, it can be very busy during the summer so it's best to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
