The woman claims she “screamsed” on the train for refusing to move her bag.
Traveling by train is a convenient way to travel around the country if you don't have a car, but public transport offers that set-up. Most commonly, trains can be very busy during peak days, and some passengers must stand up as there are no seats available remaining.
When the train is busy, it is a common courtesy to move bags and other luggage from the seat next to you so that other passengers can sit. In these situations, you can either hold the bag or use an overhead storage or luggage rack.
However, one woman who recently returned home from work on the train remained confused when another passenger requested that her bag be moved – and she refused to even follow their requests.
In a video on Tiktok, Tasha explained that she had a “pretty big” bag with her, but when she arrived on the train, it became “a lot of seats available” so she sat in the free two-seater space and didn't think about it.
Tasha reveals that when she sat, she didn't put the bag in the seat next to her, but instead kept it on her lap so that if someone was sitting next to her, they could still sit.
At the next stop, another woman boarded the train and chose to sit “quickly” in Tasha – despite the fact that there are still plenty of empty seats in the carriage. She did her best to squeeze the bag.
A few minutes later, while Tasha cares about her business and looks out the window, the woman begins to scream at her, “pushing it in.”
She said: “I looked at her in shock and she said, “Please move your f***ing bag.” She got stronger, she wasn't playing.
Tasha explained that she was trying to apologise to the woman and “compress” the bag as much as possible, but there was a lot in it, so she didn't have much luck.
This was not enough for other passengers. The other passengers vowed to her, began to speak up, demanding that she move her bag. Tasha then pointed out several other seats where the women were sitting, including other empty two-seater space that gave the women more space.
The woman argued that it was not a point as Tasha did not “own” the seat. Things escalated further and after she tried to “push” her again, Tasha said she had enough and stood up to move her seat herself.
She explained: “I'm actually scared of you, as much as I want to stand on my ground, I'm worried that you'll do something. I got my own and moved to an empty seat.
The commenter for the post expressed sympathy for Tasha. Many said she shouldn't have to move her seat. They also recommended that she report the incident to the British Transport Police.
One said: “She chose to fight you. I'll call the British traffic police and give them details about the train. There's certainly a CCTV. This is an attack and she can't escape it.”
Another addition: “Sadly, there are people in this world who are so tragic that they get hurt other people, so don't let these people get into your head.”
