I live in the most beautiful city in the UK, but tourists make one easy mistake | Travel News | Travel

If you want to visit a picturesque UK location, there is no better place than Edinburgh, but many visitors make a big mistake when trying to take photos around the city. Edinburgh is often chosen as one of the most beautiful cities in Britain thanks to its stunning medieval architecture, but Edinburgh Castle is the most iconic gem.

I have lived in Edinburgh for the rest of my life and I see tourists taking photos of the castle every time I leave the house, but there is an easy way to take better photos and enjoy the wonderful views of the city without worrying about the crowds. It is very popular for visitors to Edinburgh to visit the Waterstones Bookshop on Princess Street.

If you go to social media and look into the castle in Edinburgh, you'll often see people taking photos from the waterstone. Locals avoid bookstore cafes because of how popular it is.

I love Waterstones, but so many people know about the place that I never go there to film the castle or just relax.

The window has three tables cramped, making it extremely busy and noisy, making it difficult to get a good shot.

If you want to take a good photo of Edinburgh Castle, I highly recommend walking from Waterstone to a few store willow tea rooms instead.

Most people who visit Edinburgh don't know about the willow tea room. It's very easy to miss if you don't know, as the doors are often closed and you have to climb the stairs to get to the dining area.

However, the Willow Tea Room has a large window inside and, in my opinion, one of my favourite places as it offers views of Edinburgh Castle over Waterstone.

The large windows mean you can enjoy breathtaking views of the castle no matter where you sit. So, if you're trying to take a photo, no one will get in the way.

I loved going to Willow Tea Room as it was quiet and often quiet even on Edinburgh's main street, and the staff were always lovely every time I visited.

The best part about Willow Tea Room is that they serve afternoon tea and if you feel too far away, they have an incredible selection of cakes.

Perfect for tea only, but with a large menu, it's great if you're looking for a place to eat out for dinner or want to experience a Scottish breakfast.

One of my favorite ways to treat yourself is to visit Waterstones, buy a book, and spend an hour at the Willow Tea Room. This is because it is one of the most pleasant and comfortable places in the city centre.

If you want a quiet place to enjoy the views of Edinburgh Castle and take stunning photos, I highly recommend Willow Tea Room over the more popular Waterstone.
