Ready to explore one of the most beautiful villages in England? Shere is a quiet and peaceful area just an hour from London and is a perfect place for a long weekend or a romantic getaway. Situated in Tillingbourne Valley, Cherre is located between the towns of Guilford and Dorking.

The village is also one of the most famous filming locations in Hollywood history. Hankley Common is a few miles west of Shelle and is used in “hundreds of” blockbuster films, including James Bond.

We may recognize the location of the 2012 film Skyfall as the location of the Scottish ancestors' mansion. This location is also featured in 007 Flick the World Is Foul Not Now Not. Macbeth, Black Widow, Wonder Woman 1984, Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom, Napoleon, and Die on another day.

The village itself is also seen in major films such as Bridget Jones, The Edge of Reason, The Letwosed Christmas Film, and The Holiday.

Shere is also best known for its invincible scenery of the surrounding countryside. It is located in a nationally protected area, including Lease Hill, the highest point in southeastern England.

If you want to discover the village and its past, St. Peter's and St. Paul's Church have a rich history and date back to the Anglo-Saxon period. You can also treat yourself and visit the Handheld Duck, a much-loved cafe restaurant at the heart of the share.

Perfect for a relaxing coffee and cake or a delicious lunch after exploring a stunning local area. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a stunning view or want to see Hollywood hotspots, there's everyone in the village of Sheré.

Shere is just under 35 miles from London and can be easily reached by car or train. If you are planning a day to share from London by car, the easiest route is via A3. However, it can also be moved via the M25 or A25.

There are several routes you can take to reach the share by train from London. From Victoria London, you can take a train south to Dorking Station and take bus 32 to Shelle Village Hall.
