When it comes to holiday packaging, many of us often avoid extra payments on our packages, especially after branching out for a flight. However, there may be a time when EU lawmakers have recently voted to ban airlines from banning passengers in carry-on bags from charging, so it may be that they will upgrade from seat bags to a more spacious overhead cabin case.
Standard carry-on bags are certainly more spacious than squeezing everything into a loading bag, but you can still try to put everything in, especially if you're leaving for a long trip. But if you're not in line to unload your suitcase and wait for them to pass through the luggage carousel, they're well worth it. Helpful, one savvy traveler shares how to fit two weeks worth of clothing on one carry-on.
In a video posted to Tiktok, lifestyle influencer Arabella Stokes showed how she packed her carry-on suitcase for her two-week holiday in Japan. She even managed to get two jackets in her bag.
Arabella made the most of Beis' small carry-on rollers, which are sold for £223 using a combination of “clever folding techniques using packing cubes.”
While various airlines have different requirements when it comes to the size of cabin bags on board, Arabella's carry-on means of 53cm x 33cm 29cm.
To compare, carry-on bags filmed on British Airways and EasyJet flights must be below 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, while the Ryanair bag limit is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.
In the video, Arabella showed how she wrapped her clothes in a cube, keeping the other side of her suitcase free for shoes, accessories and toiletries. She also included all the listings she packed in the suitcase in the caption.
When it comes to packaging, the main advice is to think about what you actually need to bring with you, and by creating a list in advance you can stop you from overpacking.
Today, many hotels and rental apartments offer the opportunity to wash clothes. This means you can be more selective about what you pack.
