If you are traveling to Spain this summer, adventure lovers will insist that you visit this incredible waterfall location with clear blue waters, mysterious caves and fun kayaking rides. Malaga has been a popular holiday spot since the 1960s thanks to its historic sites, vibrant neighborhoods and busy nightlife.

Plus, not far from the city is Marbella's popular party spot. However, some travelers argue that there is one place where people are underestimated.

Nerja is just a 50-minute drive from Malaga Airport. Nerja is a beautiful town surrounded by some of the best beaches in Spain. If you want to escape from the busy party scene, this spot is not a tourist, but a stunning walking spot and offers plenty of charm. Hidden between the cliffs is the Maro Falls or Cascada de Maro.

After a recent visit, travel enthusiast Helena called it “the jewel hidden in your Malaga itinerary.” You can see the beautiful waterfalls on kayaking and boat roads. It is located on the coastline of the village of Malo and 3 km from Nerja, which departs from Briana Beach.

The trip choreography states: “This waterfall is one of the most fascinating natural wonders in the entire region.” Not only can you explore the waterfall, you can also admire the dramatic cliffs and the amazing Maro Cove.

She shared a video showing beauty spots on the Tiktok page @Travelwithhelena, and said, “Kayaking and boating are accessible when hidden between the cliffs in southern Spain.

Describing her experience, Helena added: “We stayed in Malaga and drove there. We parked in a parking lot on the top of the hill. Then a 3 Euro bus can get off you and walk back and walk back, but it's very steep!

Commenting on the post, one person said, “This place looks so dreamy and magical!” “Amazing, so beautiful,” he observed another.

“This looks insane! You need to visit here!” Another added. The other said: “Wow, I didn't know about this little gem.” “What a wonderful place, I love it,” another wrote.

    How to get there

There is a shuttle bus service to get to Nerja from Malaga Airport and operates about an hourly rate. The bus stop at Malaga Airport is located at Terminal 3 when you leave the arrival hall. There are either a taxi to get to the beach or a direct bus from Nerja to Malo every day. There may be few direct services available on weekends and holidays.

You can also take a 45-50 minute taxi from Malaga Airport to Nerja, but you can expect to pay around 78 euros for a taxi for four passengers.

If you hire a car, take the A-7 highway east from Malaga and follow the signs towards Almñekar. After passing through Nerja, you will see a sign leading towards Malo. There is a parking lot near the beach.
