Washington, DC to Dakar, Senegal and United Airlines
Starting May 23, 2025, United Airlines will launch a direct route from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Blaze Diagne International Airport (DSS) in Dakar, Senegal. Operated three times a week on the Boeing 767-300ER, the flight offers seamless access to Senegal’s cultural treasures. A city struck by art and history, Dakar is home to the famous Ifan African Art Museum and Dakato, Africa’s premier contemporary art biennials. Travelers can explore the vibrant market, stunning coastline and historic locations on the UNESCO-listed island of Gore.

Delta and Ghana, Atlanta to Accra
Starting December 1, 2025, Delta will connect to Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana using the state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900neo. Known for its excellent comfort and onboard amenities, the aircraft guarantees a relaxed journey into the Western African cultural hub. Accra welcomes visitors with its lively art scene, historic Independence Square and nearby beaches like Labadi. Beyond the city, Ghana’s Cape Coast and Kakum National Park offer a deep historical and natural experience.

Atlanta to Marrakech, Morocco and Delta
On October 25th, 2025, Delta debuted a new route from Atlanta (ATL) to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) and operates on the Boeing 767-400ER. This follows United Airlines’ existing services from Newark (EWR) released on October 25, 2024. Both airlines fly three times a week, making Marrakech more accessible than ever. Known for its bustling souks, stunning architecture and iconic Gemma Elvenna Square, Marrakech is the gateway to Moroccan desert landscapes, the Atlas Mountains and coastal gems like Essauila.

Delta and Lagos, Nigeria to New York
Delta’s existing Atlantaragos flights are complemented by new routes from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York to Murtaramhamed International Airport (LOS). The Airbus A330-200 aircraft ensures a comfortable journey into Nigeria’s economic and cultural spirit. Lagos will breathe energy and offer a vibrant nightlife, historic Freedom Park and a scenic Reki Conservation Center.
